Stress
Trying to stay healthy through this whole school fiasco has been a fine balance. Everyone around me is just dropping like flies now that the semester is ending and projects/ papers/ exams/ presentations are due. I've miraculously stayed mostly healthy all term by taking double vitamin C + echinacea every single day.
We have learned in my Arky class that there are 3 stages of stress:
1. alarm stage - when the individual's body asks "What the *uck is going on?"
2. adaptation stage - when the individual's body says "OK, I can deal with this"
3. exhaustion stage - when the individual's body says "OK, I give up".
I have basically reached the 3rd stage... I plan on being very ill after April 18. I have this nagging gut illness (carry over from the food poisoning?) that has been bugging me for the last little while. Or maybe it's stomach ulcers from stress... who knows?
