Quotes

In an attempt to stay positive and in a healthy state of mind, I have started digging out some of favourite quotes from my "Quote Book". Here are some of my favourites that are appropriate to what I'm going through right now...

Smooth seas do not make skillful sailors. - African proverb

Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right. - Henry Ford

Worry never takes the sorrow out of tomorrow, it just saps today of its strength. - Anon

Well done is better than well said. - Benjamin Franklin

Do not dwell in the past, do not dwell in the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. - Buddha

Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall. - Confucius

And my favourite quote of all time by my favourite author who I share a birthday with:

We all lie in the gutter, but some of us look up at the stars. - Oscar Wilde

I love quotes. A friend of mine gave me a quote book called Wings of Silver - here are some excerpts.

"The grinding that would wear away to nothing a lesser stone, merely serves to give luster to a diamond."

"Life is never so bad at its worst that it is impossible to live; it is never so good at it's best that it is easy to live."

From the Language of Success:
"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." - Confucius
