Curling woes
This curling season has been a bad one for our mixed team so far. Our record is 1-5-1. :( For some reason, we just can't get it together. Geoff and I have been practicing quite frequently with the mens' team (Andre, Chad, and Mitchell) since our schedules are quite flexible. But our team members on the mixed team have very busy schedules and can't come out for practice. It's affecting our performance this year... though it's strange that we didn't practice at all last season and still did well. Maybe all the other teams have improved and we haven't because of the lack of practice.
This year has definitely been interesting for me since I moved up from lead to third position. It's a little intimidating because I have to throw a wider variety of shots and I have to learn how to do the skip's job when the skip throws his rocks. The practice is helping a lot though and I hope to keep improving. Have a long way to go yet to catch up to the other curlers with years and years of experience. Still having fun though which is the most important thing.

In competition, if someone wins then by definition someone else must lose... so if you lose, try to think of how you made someone win! Haha I'm so lame. Anyways hope it's still fun to play regardless of the final score.
Yep, it's still fun to play but it's not so nice losing all the time. Especially when we did so well last year. And you know my competitive nature... :)
