Happy Canada Day!

I had an awesome long weekend. Geoff had Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off work so we could actually see each other for more than a few hours a day. We spent all Friday running around the city buying gifts for the wedding party, the attendants, etc. Also bought some more wedding related things to finish off the centerpieces and we also got a guest book. It was an exhausting day of shopping! We were out from 10 am - 7 pm!

On Saturday, I went to my friend Stef's stagette. She's getting married the week before me! Very exciting! We went and painted pottery at the Clayground. It was the first time I ever painted pottery... well since I was a kid in elementary art class. I painted a salad plate white (oh, the talent) and then I decorated the rim with red, yellow, green, and blue paint. I basically took different coloured splotches of paint and used the back of a brush to mix them together in a swirly pattern. I think it actually turned out ok considering I have no artistic or crafty talents. Hopefully the plate will be fired within a week and then I can post a picture of my handiwork!
