Submitted!
I got my thesis printed this morning and dropped off copies to all of my committee members. It's done, I've submitted my thesis! I'm so exhausted! I worked so hard to get this done. Editing, re-editing, re-doing graphs, re-doing tables... Fighting with MS Word to get the page numbers to work and trying to meet all the formatting specifications according to the Grad Studies 13-page rule book... etc., etc., etc.
But finally, I have a 150 page document to prove that I actually did stuff while I was in Africa and Edmonton.
It's all anticlimatic though because I still have to defend the thesis 2 weeks from today. I'm taking a long weekend off but then it's back to work on Tuesdsay to get ready for May 26.

The first time I held that giant wad of paper in my hand, still warm from the laser printer, was the most satisfying moment of grad studies.
Way to go! Completing a thesis is no small task. You should be really proud of yourself. And don't worry about the defence. It's not as scary as you may think it will be. Remember that everyone there is on your side...they want you to succeed. And don't forget that this is one exam that you can go into being 100% sure you will pass. After all, you wrote the text book! Just remember that despite all the academic credentials of your examiners, you and only you are the complete expert on your topic. Be confident.
