Weight off my shoulders
I just finished my "Stories From the Field" presentation today. Each grad student in the anth dept is asked to give a talk about their research, field work, and field experiences. I spent quite a bit of time putting together the powerpoint presentation (70+ slides) and the content of the talk. I didn't get nervous until this morning though. Then I was super nervous! Luckily I invited friends from outside the dept so that there were lots of friendly faces in the audience.
People said that I did quite well. I thought I could have done better had I not been so nervous! Oh well, I got through it which is all that matters.
Geoff, Scott, Katherine (fresh back from Oz) and I went out for lunch afterwards. Definitely felt good to have the presentation done and now I can concentrate on getting my thesis done!

You did great! It was a very good presentation and the pictures were awsome. As someone in the audience, you did a really good job of hiding your nervousness. I couldn't tell and I was right up front! Don't be so hard on yourself. You're a good presentor. Way to go! It was great to see you again, too.
