Spray Lakes

Katherine organized a hike for us on Labour Day. We went to the area around Spray Lakes for a short hike. All the dust from the gravel roads made us and our new(er) car choke and splutter. It was a fun and easy hike and we managed to get some exercise. I wish I had a mushroom guidebook because we saw at least 5-6 different species of mushroom along the trail. We hiked up to the waterfall which was dry! We chose to stop for lunch instead of hiking up to the glacier and got a glimpse (though no pictures) of a hoary marmot. We had to wait at the cars while a couple people from our group hiked back to our lunch stop to retrieve some sandals that got left behind. We had to wait more while Katherine gave our Civic a boost... someone (Geoff) forgot to turn the lights off!
