Alberta Winter Dancesport Classic

We spent all Sat supporting a bunch of our friends who were competing in the AWDC. Congrats to Chir and Tony, Justin, Samson, Vince and Connie, and Nathan and Dana who all represented Calgary in several events. A good time was had by all. Most of the events in the morning (standard comp) were swept by Edmonton couples. I guess having teachers like Dominique and Delphine is finally starting to pay off for Edmonton. The evening latin champ and pre-champ comp was a lot of fun to watch. Everyone was just so good! The judges really had their work cut out for them!

Samson, Kari, Geoff, and I took a break for dinner and took advantage of Downtown Dining Week. We went to La Caille on the Bow and got to sample their decadent French cuisine. Very expensive but very yummy. Oddly enough, our waiter was the uncle of Anthony, one of the competitors in the championship latin event later in the evening (they placed 3rd)!
